Moorditj Mia ‘Good Place’ group program update

There have been changes to our Moorditj Mia or “good place” group activities program for any Aboriginal person experiencing mental health or alcohol and other drug concerns.

Women who want to participate are being advised the women’s program is now meeting on Wednesdays from 9.15 to 10am.
Men meet on Mondays from 10am to 2pm for relaxation and grounding, a walk, arts, crafts and music and then lunch.
Moorditj Mia or “good place” activities are part of a low intensity program that aims to help participants experience a more meaningful life through opportunities to connect to others and develop skills in a confidential and culturally safe environment.
Peer support workers with lived experience facilitate the program alongside other SWAMS staff.
The program is located at Djin Djin Mart (23 Sampson Road) with more detailed program hours listed below.
Attendance is free.
