An important message from our Kaat Darabiny Team:
Keep it simple over the Christmas period. Your old enough now to know that Christmas time can be really stressful for a lot of us mob.
The world may even try and convince you that the best gift your children needs are the latest IPhone or PlayStation.
But you know what our Elder’s would say to that? One of the greatest gifts a child could ever receive is your time.
And, if you find yourself alone at Christmas make it a time to be good to yourself, a favourite movie, a walk along the beachside or maybe just a gentle reminder that I can make it through the day.
In extreme cases, you may want to give yourself a gift of financial freedom, remember how good that felt when someone who cares about you took the time to make something that came from their heart? Christmas shouldn’t be so much about giving material gifts, but appreciating what we have to be grateful for.
Avoid the financial pressures and expectations you or others place on you. Say no to drug use and notice how much better your spirit feels. If your feeling down, don’t stay in that space and yarn it out. Share the love and allow love to be shared with you.
