SWAMS is excited to announce it has entered into a lease arrangement with the City of Busselton as we were the successful proponent under an expression of interest for a campsite at Locke Estate, Siesta Park.
The lease was signed yesterday by SWAMS Board member Karim Khan, Chairman Ernie Hill and City of Busselton Acting Chief Executive Officer, Tony Nottle.
We were happy to also have our CEO Lesley Nelson, members of the the City of Busselton Council, staff and our SWAMS Cultural committee members in attendance to celebrate with us!
SWAMS CEO, Lesley Nelson said “We propose to use the campsite at Locke Estate as a culturally safe space to deliver social, emotional and physical health programs. We’re excited for what’s to come, intending to offer a diverse range of services, including youth camps, Elders groups, men’s and women’s groups, cultural immersion and health related programs.”
We are excited to strengthen our partnership with the City of Busselton and see this project come to life over the coming years!
